Miss Melina – Principal ISTD FDI, DDE (IBF, MTF, TF)

Melina started dancing at the age of 3 at a local dance school.
She gained her ISTD Foundation in Dance instruction, and Certificate in Dance Education in Ballet, Tap and Modern at DS Performing Arts. Since leaving, she has taught at dance schools up and down the country, and choreographed many dance school shows and audition pieces. Many of her students have also succeeded in gaining places at vocational schools and colleges.
Melina has many years experience teaching kids dance from as young as 2 years old, through to adults. She is patient, and nurtures each and every child with and extreme diligence. With strong relationships between both the children and parents at Footworks, Melina has created a thriving dance school!

Miss Charlie

Charlie Bates-Parry trained at Pineapple Performing Arts School on a full scholarship. Whilst there, she taught classes in Hip Hop and Street Dance, which is what she now specializes in. Charlie then went on to train at the DS Performing Arts where she studied Ballet, Tap, Modern and Musical Theatre. She left college with her DDI and grade 1- silver LAMDA medal.
Charlie is a resident dance teacher at 3 dance schools in North London. Teaching kids dance is what she loves to do most!

Miss Rhianna

Rhianna trained at the Urdang Academy. Before her professional training she danced at the Morgan Aslanoff Dance School, where she was lucky enough to participate in many competitions including All England Dance National Finals and Dance World Cup, winning Gold in Tap and Silver in Ballet, as well as being invited to perform at the inaugural Dance Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. Rhianna also performed with the London Children’s Ballet, as one of the principal roles, in their tour of The Little Princess.
Since graduating Rhianna has been in Germany workshopping a new show, she has also performed as a dancer on the Britt Awards, featured as a dancer in music videos and travelled to Saudi Arabia twice to perform in shows. 
Most recently Rhianna has been lucky enough to be working with Choreographer Sophia Melvin as an assistant choreographer on set for 28 Dance Company and for a selection of children’s music videos. 
Rhianna loves teaching and choreographing and is really excited to teach at Footworks Dance Academy.

Miss Emma

Emma started dancing at the age of 3 at North Central Herts School Of Dance, learning the disciplines of Ballet, Tap, Modern Theatre and Jazz following the ISTD syllabus, taking exams in all genres. 
She is a qualified personal trainer which has been an interest hers as she loves to keep fit! 
She is currently working towards her DDE’s in Ballet, Tap and Modern. Alongside her studies she teaches at several dance schools around Hertfordshire. 
Emma’s passion and enthusiasm for dance is something she wants to share with all the pupils at Footworks Dance Academy. Above all it’s important to have fun and Emma really does bring this element to all her classes. 

Miss Maddie

Maddie started dancing at the age of 3 and completed her Advanced 2 qualifications in modern, tap (ISTD) and ballet (RAD).
From a young age she regularly competed in competitions including the All England Dance Finals.
Maddie then went on to train at ArtsEd and received a BA honours in Musical Theatre.
Her theatre credits include starring in 42nd Street on the West End, Drury Lane and playing Sleeping Beauty at the prestigious Nottingham Playhouse.

Maddie has a passion for teaching and can’t wait to pass her knowledge onto everyone at Footworks Dance Academy.
